LSTA Direct Grants to Libraries

Massachusetts uses LSTA funding to provide libraries with direct grants to meet the needs of their community. There were one LSTA direct grant awarded to libraries in the Ninth Congressional District in 2024 totaling $30,000.

Below is the direct grant funded projects in the Ninth Congressional District:

  • Access for All West - Elizabeth Taber Library $30,000

    The Art of Craft will enhance Elizabeth Taber Library's Makerspace with tools, materials, and workspaces. The project will develop an art instruction program series themed around traditional handicrafts. This series will provide practical instruction through immersive workshops in a wide range of artistic mediums that serve as an outlet for creative self-expression while offering the families in the community of Marion affordable options for afterschool and summer programming.
