LSTA Direct Grants to Libraries

Massachusetts uses LSTA funding to provide libraries with direct grants to meet the needs of their community. There were one LSTA direct grants awarded to libraries in the Third Congressional District in 2023 totaling $10,000.00.

Below are examples of the direct grant funded projects in the Fourth Congressional District:

• Bellingham Public Library $10,000

  Bellingham area businesses, like many others, faced unique challenges during the pandemic. In some cases, their business models were turned upside down. The Bellingham Public Library will work with the Bellingham Business Association and others to assist businesses in the area with meeting the challenges of the 21st Century, including the challenges they have faced during the pandemic. The Library will offer resources, courses, and business counseling from experts on topics the business community identifies as important to their success.
