Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA)

The MBLC uses federal funding to enhance statewide education, access, and equity. The MBLC’s direct grant program helps libraries innovate to meet local needs.

Funding comes from federal LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) funds provided by the Institute of Museum of Library Services (IMLS). Coronavirus funding through the CARES Act and ARPA also supports libraries in Massachusetts. Learn how your municipality has benefited from federal funding.
